Jason Rouse – Jester From Hell https://notoriousgreyfox.com/jason-rouse-jester-from-hell/ Tue, 16 Jun 2026 01:47:31 +0000 https://notoriousgreyfox.com/?p=23629

Few comedians are as fearless, unpredictable, and unapologetically original as Jason Rouse. A Gemini Award-winning Canadian stand-up comedian now based in Austin, Texas, Rouse has spent more than three decades building an international reputation as one of comedy’s true renegades. His uncompromising style and willingness to push boundaries have earned him a devoted cult following across North America and Europe.

Jason first gained national recognition through his award-winning appearance on Comedy Now!, earning a Gemini Award for Best Individual Performance in a Comedy Program or Series. Since then, he has appeared on Just for Laughs, Russell Peters Presents, Andrew Dice Clay’s Blue Show, and numerous television, film, and podcast productions while continuing to tour relentlessly around the world.

Often referred to as the “Jester From Hell,” Jason’s comedy is dark, aggressive, fast-paced, and brilliantly unpredictable. His material explores the uncomfortable, the absurd, and the taboo with razor-sharp wit and fearless storytelling. Rather than avoiding life’s darker moments, Rouse embraces them, delivering an unforgettable performance that keeps audiences laughing while constantly challenging their expectations.

Beyond the stage, Jason has released countless stand-up clips and full performances through his YouTube channel and online platforms, while also hosting his long-running Safe Word podcast. His work has helped establish him as one of Canada’s most distinctive voices in alternative stand-up comedy.

What to Expect:

  • Award-winning stand-up from one of Canada’s most fearless comedians
  • Dark, edgy, uncensored comedy for mature audiences
  • Lightning-fast crowd interaction and improvisation
  • A high-energy performance unlike anything you’ll see from mainstream comedians

Content Warning: Jason Rouse performs unapologetically adult comedy. His material contains strong language and explores controversial subject matter. If you enjoy dark, boundary-pushing stand-up that refuses to play it safe, this is a show you won’t soon forget.

For more about Jason Rouse, visit his official website. His career includes appearances on Comedy Now!, Just for Laughs, Russell Peters Presents, and Andrew Dice Clay’s Blue Show, along with a Gemini Award for his television stand-up performance.

Haunted History BC – Second Date SOLD OUT https://notoriousgreyfox.com/haunted-history-bc-second-date-sold-out/ Fri, 13 Feb 2026 06:23:22 +0000 https://notoriousgreyfox.com/?p=23279 Hello friends! Our first event @notoriousgreyfox sold out quickly so we opened up a second date. Join us Saturday, March 28 from 5pm-8pm for paranormal night at the Pen.

Known as the “Gentleman Bandit,” Bill Miner was a notorious stagecoach and train robber.

After serving multiple prison terms in the U.S., he moved to British Columbia and is believed to have orchestrated Canada’s first train robbery in 1904 near Silverdale. After a botched 1906 robbery near Kamloops, he was caught and sentenced to the B.C. Penitentiary and spent time at this iconic New Westminster location. He famously and mysteriously escaped in 1907.

It was said that as he was being transported to the BC Pen, he had a huge group following as people gathered on the train platforms to see a glimpse of this likeable outlaw nicknamed The Grey Fox.

Billy was famously polite during his heists and is widely credited with coining the phrase “Hands up!” Though he had guns, he always instructed his cohorts, ‘never to shoot a man’ during his robberies.

To hear more exciting history about the BC Penitentiary, the BC Penitentiary Cemetery and some of the ghostly tales, join us @notoriousgreyfox

We’ll share thrilling and chilling stories in the first hour while you grab a bite to eat . Then, you will be able to roam the building and grounds in search of potential paranormal activity. Does anyone or anything still linger here from the past? Let’s find out. We will supply the paranormal equipment for guests to borrow. And by all means, if you have ghost hunting gear, you are welcome to bring it!

Seahawks Soar to Victory — A Super Bowl Sunday to Remember at Notorious Grey Fox Pub https://notoriousgreyfox.com/seahawks-soar-to-victory-a-super-bowl-sunday-to-remember-at-notorious-grey-fox-pub/ Thu, 12 Feb 2026 00:48:28 +0000 https://notoriousgreyfox.com/?p=23258 Super Bowl LX delivered everything football fans could have hoped for — intensity, momentum swings, defensive grit, and a fourth-quarter surge that sealed the deal. And for us at Notorious Grey Fox Pub, it was made even sweeter watching our favourite team, the Seattle Seahawks, rise to the occasion and bring the Lombardi Trophy back to the Pacific Northwest.

A Championship Built on Discipline and Determination

The Seahawks didn’t just win this game — they blew out the Patriots.

After building a steady lead through disciplined drives and clutch field goals, Seattle’s defense stepped up in defining moments. The fourth quarter was electric. A pivotal interception returned for a touchdown completely shifted the energy of the game and sent our packed house into absolute chaos — in the best way possible.

On offense, the ground game was relentless, chewing clock and controlling tempo. Through four quarters, it was clear: this team earned this championship through consistency, preparation, and the kind of hard work that defines an entire season.

From training camp to playoffs, the Seahawks’ journey was built on resilience. Sunday night was simply the culmination of months of sacrifice, strategy, and belief.

A Packed House in New Westminster

If you were at Notorious Grey Fox Pub last Sunday, you know.

The place was wall-to-wall fans — jerseys, high-fives, cheers after every big play. It was one of those rare days in New Westminster where everything aligned: a gorgeous afternoon outside, great company inside, and a championship atmosphere from kickoff to the final whistle.

Our food and drink specials were flowing all game long:

  • Ice-cold pints raised after every score
  • Wings and burgers flying out of the kitchen
  • Tables erupting during that game-sealing defensive touchdown
  • The energy in the room when the clock hit zero? Unforgettable.

More Than Just a Game

The Super Bowl is always about more than football. It’s about community.

It’s friends gathering around tables. It’s strangers becoming allies for four quarters. It’s the collective roar when your team comes through in the biggest moment of the year.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who chose to spend their Sunday with us. A fully packed pub doesn’t happen without loyal fans and an amazing local community. You brought the passion — we were proud to provide the home-field atmosphere.

Thank You, Seahawks. Thank You, New West.

To the Seattle Seahawks — congratulations on an incredible championship run.

To everyone who came out to watch — thank you for making it one of the best game days we’ve ever hosted.

If this Super Bowl proved anything, it’s that when the stakes are highest, both champions and communities show up.

We can’t wait to do it all again next season.

New Westminster Salmonbellies Prepared To Win at The Mann Cup https://notoriousgreyfox.com/new-westminster-salmonbellies-prepared-to-win-at-the-mann-cup/ Tue, 09 Sep 2025 01:47:58 +0000 https://notoriousgreyfox.com/?p=22734

What Is the Mann Cup?

The Mann Cup is Canada’s national senior men’s box lacrosse championship—awarded annually (typically in a best-of-seven series) between the Western Lacrosse Association (WLA) champions and those from Major Series Lacrosse in Ontario. It began as a challenge trophy in 1910 before evolving into a structured national playoff by 1925.

The trophy itself, originally donated by Sir Donald Mann and crafted of solid (though low-karat) gold, has been valued at over CA $60,000—making it one of sport’s priciest trophies.

Salmonbellies: The Most Decorated Team in Mann Cup History

The New Westminster Salmonbellies boast a storied legacy—they have claimed the Mann Cup 24 times, more than any other lacrosse club. Their Mann Cup victories span every decade from their first win in 1915 until the late 20th century, with their most recent championship coming in 1991.

Their historical dominance is a bedrock of Canadian lacrosse, and in 1925 they took on a pivotal role by donating the Cup to the Canadian Lacrosse Association—solidifying its status as the national championship trophy.

Queen’s Park Arena: The Hallowed Grounds of the Bellies

Situated within Queen’s Park, Queen’s Park Arena has been home to the Salmonbellies since 1930. With a seating capacity of about 3,500, it’s one of the most iconic—and cosiest—venues in Canadian lacrosse.

Paul Dal Monte, WLA Commissioner and former player, poignantly reflects:

“From a league perspective, to have it played in Queen’s Park, where you’ve got 3,500 fans every night in a building with such tradition and history … this is something special.”

“Lacrosse is in its blood… It’s the dusty old barn that rocks.”

The arena has hosted the Mann Cup at least 24 times since the start of the box-lacrosse era—making it a recurring battleground for national championship glory.

Why We’re Proud Supporters of the Salmonbellies

Notorious Grey Fox takes immense pride in backing the New Westminster Salmonbellies. Here’s why this partnership resonates so deeply:

  • Tradition Meets Triumph: Being associated with a team that has defined a national trophy’s history is a privilege few brands enjoy.
  • Community & Culture: Queen’s Park Arena isn’t just a venue—it’s a cultural landmark where generations gather to cheer, celebrate, and feel connected.
  • Resilience & Passion: Despite decades without a championship, the Bellies’ perseverance and continued pursuit of excellence echo the spirit we champion at Notorious Grey Fox.
  • Homegrown Legacy: Supporting the Salmonbellies isn’t just sponsorship—it’s investing in local heritage and the very heartbeat of New Westminster.

The Mann Cup isn’t just a trophy—it’s a symbol of Canadian lacrosse’s legacy. The New Westminster Salmonbellies are the sport’s preeminent legends, their home at Queen’s Park Arena a sanctuary of grit and glory. As fans, historians, and proud supporters, we at Notorious Grey Fox celebrate their past, rally behind their present, and wish them the best of luck!
